FX Home

I recently shot a basketball team and some individuals. The individual pictures I put them in front of a green screen. When I imported them into FX Home which is a program I use that automatically removes the green or blue screen I set the canvas size to 4x6. Fx Home works beautifully in removing the green from the background and I can then replace it with any other backdrop I like.

What I did not know is that the canvas size one picks will also limit the size of the file. So I sized all the individuals to 4x6 and now they are too small for enlargments. So I learned something about the program. Which is good, but now I have to redo most of the orders again.

Why Sports?

I got into shooting sports when I volunteered to shoot the team pictures when I was coaching one fo the the school's soccer teams.  I began to shoot the action shots also and I was encouraged by a friend that I was doing a good job. I thought that if the pictures were that good that I may be able to sell them to the parents. However, they did not buy them. I got the idea of making action posters of three images from Desktop Digital. So now I am trying to build a business and get into the action poster market. Here is a sample of one I made earlier last year.

Not much of one but I have learned alot in the last year. I am slowly moving to better and better designs.

For the love of photography.

Hello and welcome to my blog. Here I will share my love for photography and the business of digital photography. I used to shoot with film a long time ago but was frustrated with the results. Digital has opened so much for me. I can see the results instantly and fix them. I also do not depend anymore on labs for my prints, although I now can use a professional lab, but I control more of howmy images are printed. In any case I will be sharing more of my passion with in my next blog.
